2024 Ozaukee Corvette Club President’s Letter
Happy Holidays, everyone! As I write this (it’s December 8th) our baby is put away for the winter and we’re preparing for the onset of family activities that the season brings. It’s not quite “Christmas Vacation” craziness, but sometimes it’s close. So it must be time to summarize our 2024 activities.
2024 was again a very active year for the Ozaukee Corvette Club. Our membership base remains solid. We have 87 active members, virtually unchanged from the prior year. The Membership participated in over 60 diverse activities including:
29 Wednesday Evenings at Wayne’s 12 Road Tours and dinner drive-outs including June Sprints and Sunset Cruise at Road America. 8 Membership meetings and other purely social get-togethers 7 Adopt-a-Highway and other volunteer events 5 Parades (Cedarburg, Grafton, Saukville, Port Washington and West Bend) 2 Car shows and displays While individual Members' interests vary, there seems to be two common threads – love of the Corvette hobby and eating. Yes, we will drive for food.
As you know, OCC is a 501(c)3 corporation whose operations are funded by the annual dues paid by members and advertising fees and gifts in kind paid by our sponsors. While we do have some minimal annual operating expenses (like parade insurance, postage, website fees. etc.), the bulk of our annual revenue is donated to charity. In 2024 we made contributions to Ozaukee County Food Alliance, the Ozaukee County Sheriff's K9 Unit and the Cedarburg Cultural Center. The club also participated in a fundraising event for Habitat for Humanity Ozaukee County and the Adopt-A- Highway Program.
At our final meeting of the year on November 21st OCC conducted its annual election of officers at a pizza party hosted by Ann and Pat M. Congratulations and thank you to the following persons who will volunteer their time during 2025:
